How to find a receipt from the McDonald’s app
Start with the email address used for your McDonald’s app account. Receipt handling differs by country and ordering method, so there is no single receipt-history menu we can reliably direct everyone to.
Check the guidance for your country
- Australia: MyMacca’s says a receipt is emailed once the order and transaction complete successfully. MyMacca’s mobile ordering FAQ.
- United Kingdom: McDonald’s says a payment notification goes to the email registered in the app. Check what that message contains before treating it as your final itemised receipt. McDonald’s UK app guide.
- United States: start with your account email and order details. If you cannot find a receipt, use the restaurant or official feedback route. For non-delivery orders, the US mobile-order FAQ directs problems to the restaurant where you purchased. US Mobile Order & Pay FAQ.
Search for the email
- Check which email address is associated with the app account.
- Search that mailbox for “McDonald”, “McDonalds” or “MyMacca”, then narrow around the order date.
- Check Spam and Archive, and look for an order confirmation as well as messages titled receipt.
Use the free email receipt finder if you want help building a search. If it finds nothing, try the retailer name alone inside your mailbox; the message may use different wording.
Ask the restaurant for help
Have the location, date, approximate time, order number and total ready. Ask whether the restaurant can supply an itemised copy. If you scanned a rewards code but paid at a till, check the paper receipt from that purchase rather than assuming it became an emailed app order.
US customers can also use McDonald’s official feedback form to identify the restaurant and describe the missing receipt.
Was it ordered through a delivery service?
If you placed the order in a separate delivery app, start in that service’s order history and email records. Note which app actually took the order: opening McDonald’s menu through another service is different from ordering in the McDonald’s app.
Save the complete receipt once found. Check that it contains the items and final total, especially if you are matching a delivery charge, refund or changed order.
