How to find an Amazon receipt or download an invoice
Start in Your Orders on the Amazon website where you bought the item. Find the purchase, then look for Invoice or the order’s document options. If the app does not offer a usable download, open the same account in a browser.
Find and save the order document
- Sign in on the correct country site and open Your Orders.
- Find the purchase. Change the order-period filter if it is outside the displayed range.
- Open Invoice and choose the available invoice or order summary.
- Download it, or print and choose Save as PDF where your device supports that.
Amazon’s UK help documents these steps and says eligible invoices become available after dispatch. Document names and availability depend on the marketplace and seller. Amazon UK: print an invoice.
If there is no invoice button
For a UK Marketplace purchase, Amazon says to request the invoice from the seller when it is unavailable in Your Orders. An order summary and a VAT invoice are separate options; save the document you actually need. Amazon: seller invoice instructions.
For another Amazon country site, use that site’s order help to check its invoice process. Avoid repeatedly switching accounts while troubleshooting: first confirm the site, email address and order number against the original confirmation.
If the order itself is missing
Search email for the product or order number and check whether someone else in your household placed it. A charge labelled Amazon is a clue to investigate, not enough to identify a particular item. A subscription or digital purchase may also need a different account section from a physical order.
The email receipt finder with Amazon selected can help locate the confirmation. Use that message to identify the order, then retrieve the document from Amazon.
Check your saved file
Make sure it shows the seller, items and totals you expected. If you returned part of the order, keep the refund record alongside the original so you can reconstruct what you ultimately spent. Give the file a date and order number rather than leaving several downloads named “invoice”.
