- Try a wider date range. Your mailbox’s date boundaries may differ from your local time. Confirmations can also arrive a day after a purchase.
- Leave the retailer blank. A marketplace or payment service may have sent the email under a different name.
- Check another inbox. Work, personal and household accounts often hold different receipts.
- Read the message before relying on it. This keyword search can also find invoices, order confirmations and other emails. It does not verify that a purchase was paid.
How does it work?
Gmail and Outlook get a combined search for receipt and purchase-confirmation wording. Yahoo and iCloud start with your retailer name, or “receipt” if you leave it blank, with steps for narrowing the results inside your mailbox.
Folder and date controls differ between providers. Follow the steps beside your search, and check Archive as well as your Inbox. This tool cannot recover permanently deleted messages.
